PCS-200 Radar Simulator |
||||||||
Buffalo Computer Graphics' maritime simulation staff has extensive experience in the design and development of marine radar and communication simulators. Many of our staff members have been dedicated to the development of our simulation products for over twenty-five years. Our line of radar simulators is IMO / STCW compliant and can be adapted to meet HLA or DIS requirements. All models are capable of generating the target, landmass and radar effects video required to create realistic radar images from computer generated data. As a result, training exercises carried out using a BCG simulator appear real to observers monitoring the radar displays. Should you desire to speak to one of our technical or subject matter experts, please contact us at (716) 822-8668. We would be happy to discuss your needs. |

| Buffalo Computer Graphics, Inc. (BCG) continues its excellence in the radar simulation arena with the introduction of the PCS-200 Radar Simulator. Supporting all of the features of its predecessor the PCS-100, the PCS-200 offers a higher level of hardware integration and more emphasis on software generated radar imagery. |
||||||||
The heart of the PCS-200 is BCG’s new Radar Signal Generator Board (RSG). This single slot PCI format module allows BCG more flexibility for packaging the PCS-200, such as a 1U rack mount chassis or an ultra small portable unit. The reduced parts count of the PCS-200 increases system reliability while reducing the cost of maintenance spares. The PCS-200 delivers a stimulated radar presentation for a wide variety of radar displays with accuracy, realism and a price / performance ratio that is unmatched. |

The PCS-200 Radar Simulator merges BCG’s 20+ years of radar simulation and modeling capabilities with new high speed FPGA technology, to produce a realistic radar presentation on real radar displays. Features such as 4-yard resolution, large exercise areas, target ship shape and full programmability are now available in a low cost simulation platform. The PCS-200 utilizes the latest PC technology as its foundation. The simulated Ownship is controlled by the operator at our Enhanced Graphical User Interface (GUI) workstation. For multiple Ownship configurations, several PCS-200 Radar Simulators may be networked together and controlled from a single workstation. Each Ownship acts as an independent radar platform in the simulator network. The instructor's GUI workstation may even be located remotely from the PCS-200 unit(s). For bridge visual systems, the PCS-200 is programmed and controlled through a single Ethernet connection. For more information, click here to view our product brochure. |
