PCS-100 VMS Radar Simulator |
||||||
Buffalo Computer Graphics' maritime simulation staff has extensive experience in the design and development of marine radar and communication simulators. Many of our staff members have been dedicated to the development of our simulation products for over twenty-five years. Our line of radar simulators is IMO / STCW compliant and can be adapted to meet HLA or DIS requirements. All models are capable of generating the target, landmass and radar effects video required to create realistic radar images from computer generated data. As a result, training exercises carried out using a BCG simulator appear real to observers monitoring the radar displays. Should you desire to speak to one of our technical or subject matter experts, please contact us at (716) 822-8668. We would be happy to discuss your needs. |

| The PCS-100 Voyage Management Simulator (VMS) is the latest addition to Buffalo Computer Graphics’ (BCG) family of successful PC based radar simulators. The PCS-100 VMS was designed in a joint venture between BCG and SSR Engineering Inc. with cooperation from Sperry Marine Corporation. It was designed specifically for use in shipboard and shore based training, testing and evaluation applications, especially for customers who have a Sperry Voyage Management System (VMS) or Integrated Bridge System (IBS). Using BCG’s industry standard simulated radar images and simulation engine, it provides navigation data and radar images for the Sperry VMS. When combined with BCG’s PCS-100 simulator, it can also produce high quality radar video for IMO / STCW compliant training. |

The original PCS-100 was designed to interface with stand-alone radar equipment using traditional analog radar signals that require installations with actual radar processing equipment. The PCS-100 VMS, however, is capable of providing navigation sensor data, radar image and target tracking data directly to the Voyage Management System and Surface Search Radars across the ship's network. This allows training to be provided at a reduced cost without dependency on actual radar processing equipment. For more information, click here to view our product brochure. |
