PC22X8 Radar Display Emulator
PC22X8 provides a true emulation of Furuno's newest large vessel radar system FAR22X8. This BCG emulation software runs on a standard Windows computer with a PC monitor and mouse. The user interface of PC22X8 maintains the same look and operation as the real display. It is a powerful training tool used to familiarize a student with the use of a real ARPA radar for ship navigation.
For ARPA support, PC22X8 provides target acquisition tracking, leading vectors history trails, acquisition and guard zones, as well as trial maneuvers. The simulated radar video incorporates realistic simulation of land, moving targets, weather, sea clutter, and other effects seen on a real radar. PC22X8 features include radar video controls (Sea, Rain, Gain), dual Electronic Bearing Lines (EBLs) and Variable Range Markers (VRMs), multiple presentation modes, graphics capabilities, AIS functionality, and range scaling. Target track data output via a serial port or network connection in NMEA-0183 format is supported for integration with an electronic chart system (ECDIS).
